WELCOME TO D.D. COOK BUILDERS, INC.
We have been building and remodeling homes in the greater Seacoast area for almost 35 years. As a prospective building customer, you will work directly with our founder, Don Cook. Together, we’ll develop a scope of work based upon your expectations. From there, Don will establish a fixed bid for your project. Every home we build reflects the individual needs and budget of our customers. And, while we do adhere to time-proven methods of construction, every home we build is as unique as you are and designed to reflect your own personal style.
Many clients come to us without plans or an understanding of the building process. We provide a no-cost consultation to help narrow down needs, desires and budget. We rely on previous custom homes that we’ve built to showcase our quality and design solutions and review possible options. We can take you on a tour of some of our past projects that reflect your vision.
We often purchase parcels of land that can be subdivided into building lots. We’ve built out several of our own subdivisions around the Seacoast and our reputation has helped us with the permitting process with local Planning Boards and Boards of Adjustment.
MEET OUR TEAM
Jim has been with the company for 33 years. He began working as a framing and finish carpenter, and now as the project foreman he oversees all employees and subcontractors in the field on 6 – 8 projects under construction at any time.
Mark has also been with the company for 33 years. As lead carpenter and individual site foreman Mark oversees one project at a time through the final stages bringing each project in on time and making sure every aspect of the project meets the approval of our customer.
Shaun is in charge of our millwork shop where he produces custom made cabinets and other interior woodwork. Many of our homes also require intricate exterior trim which is also fabricated in our shop. Each piece he produces is hand made and built to the exact specifications of our customers.
Jay is our inside project coordinator and estimator. His work starts when we receive the plans, breaking each project down into specific pricing categories and then he solicits bids from subcontractors and suppliers. Once we sign a new job on, Jay coordinates the purchasing and the scheduling of all the subcontractors and material deliveries.
Lisa Cejka is our office manager who takes care of all the bookkeeping and payroll, as well as assisting us in our project management.
